The tube plates at both ends, with one end not connected to the shell, can freely float along the length of the tube. When the shell and tube bundle experience thermal expansion due to temperature differences, the tube bundle, along with the floating head, can freely expand and contract axially inside the shell, completely eliminating thermal stress.
Characteristics: The structure is relatively complex, the cost is high, and temperature difference stress is eliminated, making it a widely used structural form.
